The Type R GT is Root Industries' lightest Pro Scooter, coming in at just 6.8 lbs. This was achieved by implementing their most innovative products, such as the GT deck, which comes 5" wide by 19.5" long. It's highly responsive and agile, benefiting younger riders who need something easy to maneuver, or skilled riders looking to take their riding to the next level. The GT also comes equipped with Root's HMA (Hi-Modulus Alloy) bar, which retains the light weight of standard aluminum but is 25% stronger. 

The GT rolls on Lotus Wheels, which evolved from the industry favorite Honeycore wheels, but have a softer urethane. This update gives the Lotus Wheels more grip in slippery terrain. Finally, these parts are held together by the industry's most trusted compression, IHC. A scooter's compression holds the bottom half together, and IHC is used in most pro scooters! IHC provides reliable strength and requires minimal stress-free maintenance without the added weight that other compressions come with.
