The Saturn 2 has been updated to stay tight longer, be stronger, and easier to install. The deck also comes with Batch Numbering, which allows riders deeper insight into the product they're purchasing, and allows Proto to ensure their product quality stays to their high standards. The Saturn 2 is the go to option if you're looking for a deck that has the most foot space, and grind space available. The top plate of the Saturn also features the "Arch Bar" in the middle of the deck. The Arch Bar is designed to provide extra traction, and preserve the deck's concave without reducing strength, or increasing weight. You'll be able to keep your feet centered on the deck and have more control without having to wrap your toes around the edge of the deck to whip. Andrew Broussard created the TDI (Tunglok Deck Integration) deck system to resolve the issues that welded decks bring. To put it simply, the neck of a scooter deck is the strongest point while the extrusion (deck plate) is the weakest. This means that if you were to break a welded scooter deck, you’d be left with a completely unusable product and you’d be forced to replace the entire unit. The TDI system resolves this by using a two-piece deck that allows you to replace the deck plate when it’s worn out, but keep the neck, and hardware from the original pieces that will last multiple deck plates. Andrew also designed the neck so that it's compatible with every Proto deck plate available so customization is endless.
