It is extremely rare in our industry for one of the original freestyle riders to not just still be involved but thriving. What started as a the gift of a scooter from his godfather in 1999 led him to his first sponsorship and video appearance in @razorworldwide RVM3 in 2004. After Helmeri put himself on the map, he followed it up with a 20 year laundry list of achievements. Winning his first international competition in 2007 at the Extreme Battle in Tarto he came back to win it again in 2008 and 2009. Using this momentum he launched Finland’s first freestyle scooter shop and one of the first in the world, @finscootershop. After competing at the Montreux competition in Switzerland in 2010 he picked up eaglesupply and @therealdistrict as new sponsors; District releasing his signature deck and complete just this year; 2020.
